Why New Search Demand
Is Easy to Miss
New queries start small. In a table sorted by clicks they sit far below the keywords you already know, until a competitor has taken them.
Lost in the Long Tail
A brand-new query with 40 impressions sits on page 50 of your query list, below thousands of keywords you have ranked for for years.
Manual Comparisons
Finding out which queries are new means exporting two date ranges and matching them in a spreadsheet, query by query.
Short History Windows
Comparing with last month is not enough. A query that returns every winter looks new every winter unless you check a longer history.
Unclear Search Intent
When a new query appears, you don't know which of your pages Google is showing for it or whether that page really answers it.
Missed Content Ideas
New queries show what people are starting to search for: new products, new problems, new wording. Without a report, those ideas go unused.
Late Reactions
By the time a new topic shows up in your top queries, others have already published content that targets it.
New Queries,
Found for You
The report compares the queries in your selected date range with your Search Console history and keeps only the ones you have not seen before.
New Query Detection
Every query in your selected date range is checked against your query data from the 16 months before it. Only queries that are not in that history are listed.
Long History Window
The history check covers about 16 months (486 days), so seasonal queries that came back after a year are not mistaken for new ones.
Ranking Pages per Query

Frequently Asked
Questions
Everything you need to know about the New Query Keywords Report in SERPView.
New query keywords are search queries that start bringing your site impressions after not appearing in your search data before. They show new search demand: new topics, new products, or new ways people describe what they are looking for.
SERPView takes every query in your selected date range and checks it against your query data from the history window before that range. Queries that appear in the history are removed. What is left are the new queries, each with the pages that rank for it.
The history window covers about 16 months (486 days) before your selected range, or longer if your selected range is longer than that. This is long enough that seasonal queries returning after a year are not counted as new.
Each query shows clicks and impressions summed across its ranking pages, plus the average position and average CTR of those pages. Expand a query to see the same metrics for each URL. URLs with a # jump link are left out.
Click the Clicks, Impressions, Position or CTR column to sort by it. Clicks is the default. The table shows 100, 200 or 300 queries, and you can load 100 more at a time after that.
The report uses your own Google Search Console data. If you have connected Bing Webmaster Tools, you can switch the data source to Bing. Your date range and dashboard filters apply to the report.
