Find Striking Distance Keywords
One Push Away From the Top
The Striking Distance Report lists the striking distance keywords your site already ranks for just outside the top spots, with the pages that rank for each one. Set your own position range, sort by impressions or clicks, and know exactly which pages to improve first.

Why Your Easiest Wins
Stay Hidden
Most sites already rank for hundreds of keywords that are close to the top. Without a focused report, those opportunities get lost in the full query list.
Buried in the Query List
Search Console shows every query in one long table. The ones sitting at position 6 or 9 look no different from the ones at position 60.
Spreadsheet Filtering
Exporting queries, filtering by position and matching them to pages by hand takes hours, and has to be redone every time the data changes.
No Page Context
Knowing that a keyword ranks at position 8 is not enough. You need to know which URL ranks for it before you can improve anything.
Wrong Priorities
Teams spend weeks on new content for keywords they don't rank for, while keywords that are almost on top get no attention.
Missed Timing
A keyword that slips from position 5 to 12 is much harder to win back. If nobody is watching the middle of the rankings, it happens silently.
Clicks Left on the Table
Pages just below the top results still collect impressions, but most of the clicks go to the results above them.
Quick-Win Keywords,
Ready to Act On
No exports or formulas. The report reads your Search Console data for the date range you pick and groups every striking distance keyword with the pages that rank for it.
Your Own Position Range
The report starts at positions 3 to 10. Change the from and to positions to focus on the bottom of page one, page two, or any band you want.
Ranking Pages per Keyword
Expand any query to see each URL that ranks for it inside your range, with its own clicks, impressions, position and CTR.
Sort by What Matters
Sort keywords by clicks, impressions, average position or CTR. Impressions is the default, so the keywords with the most demand come first.
Works With Your Filters
Pick any date range and combine the report with your dashboard filters, for example one country, one device or one section of the site.
Scheduled Email Reports
Add the Striking Distance Report to a scheduled email report and get a PDF with up to 100 keywords daily, weekly, monthly or on a custom interval.
Available to Your AI Assistant
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other MCP client to SERPView over MCP and your assistant can pull the report with its own position range and sort order.

Questions
Everything you need to know about the Striking Distance Report in SERPView.
Striking distance keywords are search queries your site already ranks for, just outside the top positions. They are close enough that a better title, fresher content or a few internal links can move them up, which makes them some of the fastest SEO wins you can get.
SERPView reads your queries and the pages that rank for them for the selected date range. For every query it keeps the URLs whose position falls inside your position range, sums their clicks and impressions, and averages their position and CTR. A query is listed when its average position is inside the range.
The report starts with positions 3 to 10. You can type any from and to position, for example 11 to 20 to focus on page two, and the list updates right away.
Yes. Click a keyword to expand it and see every URL that ranks for it inside your range, with clicks, impressions, position and CTR for each URL. URLs with a # jump link are left out, so you only see real pages.
Click the Clicks, Impressions, Position or CTR column to sort by it. The table shows 100, 200 or 300 keywords, and you can load 100 more at a time after that.
The report uses your own Google Search Console data. If you have connected Bing Webmaster Tools, you can switch the data source to Bing. Your dashboard filters and date range apply to the report.
