Page Authority
A score that predicts how well a specific page will rank on search engine result pages.
Page Authority (PA) is a metric developed by Moz that predicts how well a specific page (not an entire domain) will rank on search engine results pages. Like Domain Authority, it's scored on a scale from 1 to 100.
PA is calculated based on link data from Moz's web index, including the number and quality of links pointing to the specific page. A page with many high-quality backlinks will have a higher PA than a page with few or low-quality backlinks.
It's important to understand that Page Authority is not a Google ranking factor – it's a third-party metric created to help SEOs predict ranking potential. However, the factors that contribute to high PA (strong backlinks, quality content, etc.) do influence Google rankings.
Improving page authority involves earning quality backlinks to the specific page, internal linking from other pages on your site, creating comprehensive, valuable content, optimizing on-page SEO elements, and ensuring good user experience. PA should be used alongside other metrics to evaluate SEO performance.
